Scarlett Shepard, owner of KickStart Grant Writing, brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, strategic philanthropy, and grant writing. Since 2004, she has helped nonprofits, public agencies, and community organizations secure funding for programs, services, capital projects, and organizational growth.Her expertise includes grant strategy, prospect research, grant writing, relationship building, sponsorship development, and fundraising planning. Scarlett has successfully secured funding from federal, state, county, and city agencies, as well as foundations and corporations, including the Washington State Department of Commerce, Satterberg Foundation, Umpqua Bank, Wells Fargo Foundation, American Honda, Hewlett Foundation, Rite Aid Foundation, 4Culture, Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation, Bamford Foundation, ArtsFund/Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, and many others.Through KickStart Grant Writing, Scarlett partners with nonprofit leaders, public agencies, and community organizations to develop funding strategies, identify grant opportunities, strengthen funder relationships, and build sustainable fundraising programs. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Film from San Francisco State University and leverages her storytelling expertise to craft compelling narratives that connect organizations with funders and mobilize support for their missions.
